SailGP Opens First Permanent Training Base in Pensacola

SailGP has opened its first permanent, year-round training base at the American Magic High Performance Center in Pensacola, Florida, under an agreement extending through 2031. The facility will give the league’s 13 teams access to a shared F50-style foiling catamaran and space to train, test equipment and develop athletes outside race weekends, with equal-access standards intended to support fair competition. SailGP and local officials say the base will help the league expand while bringing jobs, visiting teams and tourism spending to the area.
