One lot of Whole Foods ashwagandha capsules recalled over salmonella risk
Vitality Works Inc. recalled one lot of 365 Whole Foods Market Standardized + Full Spectrum Blend Ashwagandha Capsules, 120-count, because of possible Salmonella contamination found during routine testing. The recall covers bottles marked lot 2025-26227, with an expiration date of October 13, 2028, sold at Whole Foods Market and through Amazon from November 24, 2025, through October 20, 2026. No illnesses had been reported when the recall was announced. Consumers should check the lot number on the bottle, stop taking affected capsules, discard them, and seek a refund at any Whole Foods Market store. Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, and may lead to more serious illness in some people.
