Salvation Army Seeks Holiday Volunteers Across Communities

The Salvation Army is recruiting holiday volunteers and seeking donations across several communities, with local Red Kettle campaigns supporting both Christmas assistance and year-round services. In Bowling Green, people can sign up for bell-ringing shifts and buy gifts through the Angel Tree program. In Omaha, volunteers are needed to help register families for Christmas assistance at community-center events. In Green Bay, the organization is making a final appeal for winter-coat donations for more than 4,500 pre-registered children while preparing to launch its Christmas campaign. In West Michigan, the Red Kettle campaign will help fund Angel Tree gifts, food assistance and other community programs, and organizers hope to expand the number of businesses hosting Angel Tree sites.
