San Diego Daycare Suspect Arrested, Three Potential Victims

San Diego authorities arrested Abhishek Sareen, 35, after an investigation into suspected child sexual abuse material led them to Lotus Learners Montessori School, an in-home daycare where he lived and had regular access to children. He faces felony charges related to child sexual abuse and possession of child sexual abuse material; one report says he pleaded not guilty. Investigators have identified at least three potential victims, notified two families, and are working to identify the third and determine whether more children were affected. Police said no children were present when Sareen was arrested, and investigators are contacting families of children enrolled at the center. California’s Community Care Licensing Division has been notified and will decide whether the daycare may remain open.
