San Jose police arrest nine in 50-plus burglaries

San Jose police say nine people—six adults and three juveniles—were arrested in connection with three commercial burglaries and about 50 vehicle burglaries. From June 3 to June 24, the suspects allegedly drove a vehicle through businesses on Capitol Avenue, Blossom Hill Road and Camden Avenue to gain entry; some are also suspected of the vehicle burglaries on June 27 and 29. Investigators used automated license plate reader technology to identify the suspects, who were arrested in stages from June through Oct. 15. The adults were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail, and the juveniles into Juvenile Hall.
