Scholarship Programs Channel Millions to Students
Several education initiatives are expanding access to learning through scholarships designed for students who may be overlooked by conventional academic criteria. Taco Bell Foundation’s Live Más program offers $5,000 to $25,000 awards to applicants ages 16 to 26 based on their ambitions and potential, rather than grades or test scores. In North Idaho, a partnership among the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and local businesses has awarded more than $1.37 million over five years, including $405,000 for 200 students in 2026, to help fund education after high school. In the Philippines, Silid Aralan has spent two decades supporting struggling learners who might not qualify for traditional merit scholarships, aiming to help them build skills and pursue their goals.
