School Bus Crashes Injure People in Three States
Separate school bus crashes were reported in Connecticut, Hawaii and Tennessee. In Brookfield, Connecticut, a bus was rear-ended Monday afternoon; students sustained minor injuries, and the vehicle that hit the bus left the road and caught fire. In a Saturday crash on Honolulu’s H-1 Freeway, three males ages 17, 19 and 68 were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a woman was evaluated at the scene; no one on the bus was hurt, and about two dozen passengers were escorted to another location, where guardians declined further treatment. In East Knox County, Tennessee, a school bus collided with two pickup trucks, but no students were injured.
