School-Transport Cases Span DUI, Luring, Voyeurism Allegations

A Jordan School District bus driver, Gabriele Basile, 64, was arrested in Herriman, Utah, on suspicion of recording a 10-year-old girl beneath her skirt while driving a bus carrying children. Police say a video recorded on Oct. 8 was discovered in a shared Google account, and investigators later found the original and another video on his phone. Basile faces investigation of two counts of voyeurism involving a child under 14 and a charge of using a wireless device while driving; the district removed him from driving duties and said he was fired. Authorities sought to hold him without bail, citing alleged comments that he would return to Italy if he got in legal trouble.
