Schools, theaters plan 'Little Shop' productions
“Little Shop of Horrors” is drawing renewed attention through several local productions and screenings. Aptos High School is staging the musical with student performers, a live band and carnivorous-plant puppets, while Burlingame High School has also announced performances. Portland Center Stage is bringing back the show for a holiday-season run, featuring LaRhonda Steele as the voice of Audrey II. The 1986 film is also coming to 4K for the first time and will screen at Beaumont’s Jefferson Theatre as part of a Halloween movie series.
