Seahawks sign Deguara and Acker to practice squad
The Seattle Seahawks signed tight end Josiah Deguara and fullback Jackson Acker to their practice squad, releasing running back Dontae McMillan and wide receiver Malick Meiga to make room. Deguara, a seven-year NFL veteran who has played for several teams, adds tight-end depth as Seattle expects Elijah Arroyo to go on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. Acker, an undrafted rookie from Wisconsin, played both running back and fullback in college and could offer help to a Seahawks run game that has struggled to create consistent yardage.
