Seasonal parking rules expected across cities Nov. 1

Seasonal winter parking restrictions begin Nov. 1 in Rumford, Middleboro and Grand Rapids, though schedules and rules differ by community. Rumford prohibits overnight parking on public streets and rights-of-way from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. through April 15, with limited exceptions; Middleboro’s ban runs midnight to 6 a.m. through May 1, 2027, and qualifying residents may use street-parking stickers when no snow is forecast. In Grand Rapids, odd-even and designated-side parking rules apply on signed streets through April 1 to give snowplows and street crews access, with violations subject to a $20 ticket.
