Senators Set to Visit Winless Flyers

The Ottawa Senators visit the winless Philadelphia Flyers with sharply contrasting starts: Philadelphia is 0-6-3 after scoring only 11 goals in nine games, while Ottawa is 6-2 and has won three of its past four. The Senators won the teams’ first meeting 2-1, with Carter Yakemchuk scoring the third-period winner, and goaltender Linus Ullmark has been a major factor in Ottawa’s strong start. Both teams are dealing with injuries, including key absences on Philadelphia’s offense and Ottawa’s blue line. Despite Ottawa’s momentum, it has also had to navigate injuries and a modest team scoring rate, while the Flyers seek a breakthrough under pressure at home.
