Serbian Tennis Player Gets 24-Year Match-Fixing Ban

Serbian tennis player Stefan Milićević has received a 24-year ban, keeping him out of the sport until October 2050, and was fined $70,000 by the International Tennis Integrity Agency. The ITIA said he was charged with fixing six matches, including five he played in, attempting to fix six more between 2022 and 2024, and recruiting or trying to recruit other players into a match-fixing network. Milićević did not respond to the charges or cooperate with the investigation, so the agency imposed the sanction without a hearing; it said the penalty reflected the offenses and recruitment attempts, not his lack of cooperation. During the suspension, he is barred from playing, coaching or attending events organized or sanctioned by major tennis bodies and national associations.
