Several NHL Goalies Expected to Start

Pyotr Kochetkov was set to start for Carolina against St. Louis after winning all six of his starts this season, despite allowing three goals in his most recent outing. Karel Vejmelka was named to start for Utah in two separate previews: one noted recent struggles but a 5-3-0 record through nine appearances, while another said he would return after being pulled against Edmonton and had five wins in eight appearances. Charlie Lindgren was expected to start for Washington against Buffalo after allowing six goals across his first two appearances of the 2026-27 season.
