Shaun Edwards says England coach Steve Borthwick turned down his offer to join the coaching staff for the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia, telling him he was satisfied with the existing team. Edwards, who recently left France’s staff and briefly worked with England’s women, has since joined Argentina’s coaching staff through the tournament. Richard Wigglesworth is set to oversee England’s defense, supported by Byron McGuigan and Joe El-Abd.
