Shipley’s Garment Spa plans closure after 124 years

Shipley’s Garment Spa, a family-owned Sioux Falls business founded in 1902, is closing after 124 years. Owners Gerry and Susie Wingler cited health issues, economic pressures, industry changes and a shortage of employees in their decision. The final day of production is October 22, 2026; the office will remain open for pickups and calls through November 6, while route services have already ended. The owners thanked customers for their loyalty and for making the business part of the Sioux Falls community across generations.
