Short Interest Falls Across Five Stocks
Short interest declined across all five companies as of August 14, though each remained heavily shorted: Replimune Group had the highest proportion at 43.08% of its float, followed by Lucid Group at 41.01%, Frontier Group Holdings at 39.54%, Recursion Pharmaceuticals at 34.79% and indie Semiconductor at 32.43%. Replimune’s short interest fell 9.71% from July 31, while Lucid’s dropped 4.29%; the other declines ranged from 1.22% to 2.75%. Estimated short-covering periods varied widely, from 3.96 days for Replimune to 13.37 days for Recursion. Institutional activity was mixed but generally included substantial additions by major firms, including BlackRock, State Street and UBS, while some investors exited or sharply reduced positions. All five companies reported exclusively open-market insider sales during the past six months, with indie Semiconductor recording the most transactions at 63.
