Simpson Manufacturing Approves $1 Billion Buyback
Simpson Manufacturing reported stronger third-quarter results, with earnings per share of $2.68 and sales exceeding analysts’ expectations; higher sales and lower operating expenses contributed to increased profit. North America led sales growth, while Europe faced weaker volumes and foreign-exchange pressure. The board authorized up to $1 billion in share repurchases, replacing the prior $200 million program, with no expiration date; Simpson had bought back about $165 million under the previous authorization through September 30, including $66.3 million in the third quarter. The company also declared a quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share and forecast a 2026 operating margin of 20% to 20.5%, including an expected gain from a land sale.
