The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror XXXVII” opens with a stop-motion tribute to The Nightmare Before Christmas, recasting Springfield characters including Bart as Jack Skellington, Marge as Sally, Homer as Halloween Town’s Mayor and Ned Flanders as Oogie Boogie. Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the studio behind Robot Chicken, made the sequence with hand-sculpted puppets and sets, while the music spoofs “This Is Halloween.” The special features three stories involving Marge’s changing husbands, Bart and Santa’s Little Helper swapping bodies after an accident, and Homer trapped in a frightening driver’s education loop. The episode is scheduled to air on Fox on October 25, 2026, and stream on Hulu the following day.
