Early snow hits Alberta as Nagpur cools and Kingsport readies plows

In Kingsport, Tennessee, city crews inspected snowplows and salt spreaders ahead of the season, with about 4,000 tons of salt and 10,000 gallons of brine available to serve roughly 400 miles of roads. Officials said the city typically sees four to six snowfalls annually and is preparing for conditions that could vary with temperatures and precipitation.
