SoFi Survey: 75% of US Investors Use AI
A SoFi survey of 1,000 U.S. adults found that about three-quarters of investors use AI for investing questions; among AI users, 84% use it at least weekly and 86% say its insights have informed an investing decision. Investors commonly use AI to compare options, research companies, understand risk and learn financial concepts, while 46% say they ask it questions they would hesitate to ask others. Although 80% trust AI at least somewhat, 74% often or always check its investing information against other sources before acting. In South Africa, Fynbos Money has introduced a feature that lets customers connect their portfolios to AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude to ask questions and receive analysis based on their own account data.
