Southern Miss tops ULM 35-21

Southern Miss has won two straight Sun Belt games after ending a five-game skid, most recently beating ULM 35-21. The Warhawks cut a 20-point deficit to six in the fourth quarter but could not complete the comeback. Southern Miss’s ground game has been a major factor in the turnaround, with the Golden Eagles rushing for 554 yards across wins over Louisiana and ULM. They now face James Madison on ESPN2, seeking a third consecutive win against a JMU team that opened 7-0 but has since lost two straight, both in overtime.
