Special Olympics bowling events connect athletes across three communities

Special Olympics bowling programs are bringing athletes together across several communities. In northern Kentucky, more than 170 bowlers are set to compete in the Area 7 tournament in Newport, with winners and some runners-up advancing to the state tournament in Louisville. In Bangor, Maine, a three-day 10-pin event for athletes from three counties wrapped up with bowling, awards and socializing. Special Olympics Estevan has also started its season, welcoming 45 youth and adult athletes to weekly five-pin and 10-pin sessions while seeking an additional volunteer head coach.
