Spokane Chef, Mother of Six Killed in Hit-and-Run

Smaah Adam, a 46-year-old chef at Spokane’s Feast World Kitchen and mother of six, died after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene Monday evening near her home. Police say she was getting out of her parked van when she was hit and are seeking a black Ford Flex from model years 2009–2019 that may have damage to its front passenger side. No driver has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing. Feast World Kitchen described Adam as part of its family and has launched a fundraiser to help with funeral expenses and support her children.
