Wrestler Andy ‘The Butcher’ Williams dies at 48 after in-ring collapse
Andy Williams, the professional wrestler known as “The Butcher” and founding guitarist of Every Time I Die, died at 48 after suffering a medical emergency near the end of a tag-team match at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania. Ringside staff administered CPR and used a defibrillator before Williams was taken to a hospital, and the remainder of the show was canceled. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his death, but the cause was not publicly disclosed. Williams wrestled for AEW from 2019 until the team’s contracts ended in 2026 and also competed for Ring of Honor. Every Time I Die broke up in 2021.
