Pannone Throws First Minors Perfect Game Since 2017
Thomas Pannone threw a nine-inning perfect game Monday, leading the Triple-A Nashville Sounds to a 3-0 victory over the Durham Bulls. The 32-year-old left-hander retired all 27 batters he faced, striking out eight on 94 pitches, including a dramatic ninth inning in which he closed out the final batter with consecutive strikes. It was the first solo, nine-inning perfect game in the Minors since 2017 and the fifth in International League history. Pannone, who has pitched for the Blue Jays and Brewers in the majors and in the Korean Baseball Organization, recently returned to Milwaukee’s rotation after missing the 2025 season with a torn flexor tendon.
