Norris Edges Antonelli by 0.011s for Madrid Spanish GP Pole
Lando Norris secured pole position for the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix at Madrid’s new Madring circuit with a dramatic final lap for McLaren. He edged Mercedes championship leader Kimi Antonelli by just 0.011 seconds, while Max Verstappen qualified third and Lewis Hamilton fourth for Ferrari after briefly holding provisional pole. Charles Leclerc was fifth, ahead of George Russell, with Oscar Piastri seventh in the second McLaren. Norris said the lap was among the best of his career, and his pole places him in an advantageous position at a street circuit where overtaking is expected to be difficult.
