Seahawks Intercept Maye Three Times, Edge Patriots 13-10
The Seattle Seahawks rallied from a 10-0 deficit to defeat the New England Patriots 13-10 in a Super Bowl rematch and season opener. Seattle lost starting quarterback Sam Darnold to a hip injury on the opening drive, but backup Drew Lock led two late scoring drives, including a 45-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye threw three costly interceptions as Seattle’s defense turned the momentum, with Julian Love’s interception helping set up Jason Myers’ go-ahead field goal. Josh Jobe sealed the victory with a toe-tapping interception in the end zone with 21 seconds remaining. The dramatic win came during Seattle’s home banner-raising ceremony.
