Solheim Cup Tied 4-4 After Opening Day

The United States and Europe ended the opening day of the 2026 Solheim Cup tied 4-4 at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, marking the first time in the event’s history that both sessions were split. Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz defeated Charley Hull and Solheim Cup rookie Lottie Woad 4&3, becoming the first partnership to win five consecutive matches in the competition. Carlota Ciganda and Julia Lopez Ramirez halved the final match after Ciganda holed a pressure 12-foot par putt and Korda and Coughlin missed birdie chances.
