Houston Dash fires coach Gautrat and technical director Kilgore, names interim

The Houston Dash parted ways with head coach Fabrice Gautrat and technical director Twila Kilgore, with both leaving their roles immediately and not returning for the 2027 season. Assistant coach Jaime Frias will serve as interim head coach for the final six games while club leadership searches for a permanent replacement. Houston is 7-12-5 and 12th in the 16-team NWSL, having lost its last four matches and sitting well outside playoff contention. Gautrat, who took over before the 2025 season, leaves with a 15-24-11 record across nearly two seasons. Kilgore joined the Dash as technical director in February after serving as interim head coach of the U.S. women’s national team.
