India Beat Afghanistan by Seven Wickets

India opened the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan with a dominant seven-wicket victory in New Delhi. After being asked to bat, Afghanistan collapsed to 43 for five before Azmatullah Omarzai’s unbeaten 64 off 44 balls and Mohammad Nabi’s 33 helped them reach 156 for eight. Arshdeep Singh led India’s bowling with 3 for 19, while Jasprit Bumrah marked his return by dismissing Rahmanullah Gurbaz for a duck and Varun Chakravarthy also took a wicket. India chased the target in 13.4 overs, powered by Abhishek Sharma’s 82 off 32 balls and Ishan Kishan’s 42, before captain Shreyas Iyer and Tilak Varma completed the victory.
