Olivia Miles Surpasses WNBA Rookie Scoring Record
Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles surpassed Caitlin Clark’s WNBA rookie scoring record of 769 points during Sunday’s game against the Connecticut Sun, reaching at least 770 points. The No. 2 overall pick had previously tied Clark’s mark with 20 points against the New York Liberty. Miles leads all rookies in scoring, assists and made field goals and has set several other rookie records. Minnesota has clinched a playoff berth with the league’s best record, though the Lynx have lost three straight. Miles has two regular-season games remaining, both against Clark’s Indiana Fever, while Clark’s rookie assist record of 337 remains out of reach with Miles at 232.
