Seahawks Rout Cardinals 31-7 for 12th Straight Win

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Arizona Cardinals 31-7 in Glendale, improving to 2-0 and extending their franchise-record winning streak to 12 games, including three playoff victories last season. Playing without injured starting quarterback Sam Darnold, Seattle relied on Drew Lock and a spectacular performance from Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who caught nine passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns, including an 82-yard opening score. The Seahawks led only 7-7 at halftime but dominated after the break, outscoring Arizona 24-0 while limiting the Cardinals to 150 total yards. Seattle also received key contributions from its defense and a kickoff-recovery play by linebacker Chazz Surratt, while running back Emanuel Wilson took over much of the workload after rookie Jadarian Price left with a chest injury.
