WNBA Playoff Seeding Remains Unsettled

All eight 2026 WNBA playoff berths have been secured, but the final four regular-season days could significantly reshape the bracket before the postseason begins Sept. 27. Minnesota leads the race for the No. 1 seed and needs either one win or a Golden State loss, while Golden State, Las Vegas and Atlanta remain in contention for the top positions and first-round home-court advantage. Las Vegas is more likely focused on holding the No. 3 seed than overtaking Golden State for second, despite owning the relevant tiebreaker, while Atlanta is positioned to contend for fourth. Indiana, New York, Washington and Dallas remain separated by narrow margins; Indiana could finish anywhere from third to eighth, and Dallas could rise from eighth to fifth if it wins out and gets help. Dallas is on a six-game winning streak and faces Phoenix and Seattle, Indiana closes with two games against Minnesota, and New York finishes with two against Atlanta.
