Blackhawks Sign Oliver Moore to $21.25M Extension

The Chicago Blackhawks signed 21-year-old forward Oliver Moore to a five-year, $21.25 million contract extension with a $4.25 million average annual value. The deal begins in 2027-28, after the final season of his entry-level contract, and keeps him in Chicago through 2031-32. Drafted 19th overall in 2023, Moore recorded five goals and 14 assists in 51 NHL games last season and has played 60 career games. The extension gives Chicago cost certainty on a young player with room to develop, while committing to a significant term based on a limited NHL sample. It follows the Blackhawks’ five-year extension for Connor Bedard and other offseason roster moves as the team looks to improve after finishing last in the Central Division.
