Hunter Goodman Hits 40th and 41st Homers as Rockies Top White Sox

Hunter Goodman hit his 40th and 41st home runs of the season in Colorado’s 9-6 win over the Chicago White Sox, reaching 40 with a solo shot in the third inning and adding a three-run homer later in the game. He became the first National League catcher to hit at least 40 homers since 2003 and the first Rockies player to reach the mark since Nolan Arenado in 2019. Colorado snapped a five-game losing streak, while Chicago’s loss ended its American League Central title hopes; the White Sox secured a wild-card spot. Goodman has driven much of his power on the road, leading the majors with 25 away home runs.
