Islanders Sign Logan Stanley to $1.5M Deal

The New York Islanders signed defenseman Logan Stanley to a one-year, $1.5 million contract for the 2026-27 season after making their final preseason roster moves. The 6-foot-7, 28-year-old recorded career highs of nine goals and 26 points in 76 games with Winnipeg and Buffalo last season. New York assigned prospects Kashawn Aitcheson, Cole Eiserman and Isaiah George to AHL Hamilton and placed goaltender Vitek Vanecek on waivers for assignment. Stanley is expected to fill a depth role, but his place in the opening lineup was not yet clear; the one-year deal gives the Islanders roster flexibility.
