Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve was named WNBA Coach of the Year for a record-extending fifth time, receiving 40 of 74 votes from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. She previously won the award in 2011, 2016, 2020 and 2024. Reeve led Minnesota to a league-best 33-11 regular-season record and the top playoff seed, and became the WNBA’s winningest regular-season coach during the season. The Lynx entered Tuesday’s elimination game against the New York Liberty trailing 1-0 after losing the series opener at home.
