Warriors’ Porzingis Out Indefinitely With Health Issue
Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porziņģis will miss the start of training camp and is out indefinitely with an undisclosed health issue, the team said. He will not travel with the team to Hawaii, and the Warriors have given no return timeline, though general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. said he does not yet view the absence as a long-term concern. Porziņģis was working out with the team last week, and it remains unclear whether the issue is connected to his previously disclosed POTS diagnosis. He played 32 games last season, including 15 after joining Golden State, and signed a two-year, $40 million deal to remain with the team. His absence leaves the Warriors short in the frontcourt as Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody continue recovering from knee injuries.
