Alonso Extends Aston Martin Deal Through 2027

Fernando Alonso will continue racing for Aston Martin through the 2027 Formula 1 season, extending a career that began in 2001 and making another run at a record-setting 24th full-time season. The 45-year-old said he remains motivated and believes he can compete at the highest level, despite months of uncertainty about his future and a difficult 2026 campaign in which he has scored three points. Aston Martin has struggled with an uncompetitive car and Honda power-unit problems, leaving the team near the back of the standings. Teammate Lance Stroll is also set to remain with the team in 2027.
