Sabres Rally Past Blackhawks in Home Opener
The Buffalo Sabres rallied from a two-goal deficit to beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 in their home opener, extending their winning streak against Chicago to seven games. Jiri Kulich scored the winning goal with 6:40 remaining, his first goal in nearly a year after blood-clot issues sidelined him for most of last season; Rasmus Dahlin, Jack Quinn and Tage Thompson also scored. Chicago led 2-0 in the first period and 3-2 entering the third, but Buffalo tied the game early in the final period before Kulich’s goal. The Blackhawks finished their season-opening road trip 0-3, while Buffalo bounced back from a season-opening loss in Columbus.
