Sharks erase three-goal deficit, defeat Panthers in OT
The San Jose Sharks rallied past the Florida Panthers 4-3 in overtime after surrendering a three-goal lead, with rookie defenseman Luca Cagnoni scoring his first NHL goal for the winner. Will Smith scored twice, both goals set up by Macklin Celebrini, as San Jose built its early advantage. Florida fought back through two Eetu Luostarinen goals and a Matthew Tkachuk equalizer just 17 seconds after Luostarinen’s second. The Panthers played without defenseman Gustav Forsling, a late scratch with an upper-body injury, and lost captain Aleksander Barkov to an injury during the game.
