Jason Kelce Apologizes After Using Former Team Name On-Air

Jason Kelce mistakenly referred to the Washington Commanders by the team’s former name while calling their London game against the Indianapolis Colts, then apologized after play-by-play announcer Dave Pasch pointed out the slip. The booth had reportedly joked beforehand about who might use the old name first. The moment drew mixed reactions online, with some criticizing the mistake and others saying longtime fans still use the former name; Washington dropped it in 2020 and adopted the Commanders name in 2022.
