Meronk wins Dunhill, secures European Tour membership
Adrian Meronk won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews with a final-round 4-under 68, finishing at 20-under par and two strokes clear. The 33-year-old from Poland took his fifth DP World Tour title and first since 2023, securing a full European Tour card for 2027. He said, "I never usually cry, but this one feels really special," and "I'm lost for words. I'm extremely happy and quite relieved." Casey Jarvis bogeyed the ninth after pitching 4 feet past the hole and three-putting, then bogeyed the 11th when spin carried his pitch back off the green. Meronk holed an 8-foot birdie on the 12th to take a two-shot lead and birdied the 14th with a pitch-and-run to 2 feet. Jarvis made a 30-foot putt on the 15th to stay in contention and closed with a 72, tying for second with Niklas Nørgaard (68) at 18-under. Contested: AP and Golf Channel report Meronk started two shots behind Jarvis; Golfmagic reports a four-shot deficit. Newsday, the only left-rated outlet, foregrounds his LIV Golf status and the European membership the win secured. No right-rated coverage is in the record.
