Sheffield United beat Lincoln City 3-0 at Bramall Lane on Saturday, Oct. 10, ending a three-match losing run in all competitions. Patrick Bamford scored twice, either side of Tahith Chong’s 52nd-minute goal, and Joe Rothwell assisted the latter two strikes. Lincoln captain Sonny Bradley had an early headed chance, but Chris Cohen said his side competed well for about 35 minutes before the timing and quality of United’s goals proved decisive. Chris Wilder said his team needed the win and responded to criticism with a strong performance.

Seattle’s recent turnovers and struggling run game, however, could give Denver an opening after the Broncos’ win over the Chargers.
