Packers’ Hargrave Has Season-Ending Achilles Tear

Packers defensive tackle Javon Hargrave tore his Achilles late in Green Bay’s 31-7 win over the Chicago Bears, and Monday MRI tests confirmed the injury will end his season. The 33-year-old signed a two-year deal with Green Bay in the offseason and recorded six tackles in four games. His absence adds to the Packers’ defensive-line injuries, following linebacker Edgerrin Cooper’s Achilles tear; Jonathan Ford is among those expected to take on a larger role. Hargrave’s recovery could extend into part of the 2027 season.
