Colorado Names Former Utah QB Isaac Wilson Starter

Colorado coach Deion Sanders confirmed former Utah quarterback Isaac Wilson will make his second consecutive start when the Buffaloes host No. 11 Utah on Saturday. Wilson transferred to Colorado after losing his place on Utah’s quarterback depth chart; he started seven games for the Utes in 2024 and has completed 40 of 71 passes for 443 yards in three appearances for Colorado this season. He threw three interceptions in the Buffaloes’ 29-7 loss to Texas Tech, but Sanders praised his resilience and said he remains confident in him; receiver Joseph Williams said Wilson works after practice to correct missed connections. Sanders wants Colorado to rely more on its running game and limit pass attempts against a Utah defense allowing 78.8 rushing yards per game. Utah is 5-0 and Colorado is 2-3; Utah coach Morgan Scalley said the Utes are familiar with Wilson’s strengths and weaknesses.
