49ers Start 5-0 With Contributions Across Roster

The San Francisco 49ers are 5-0 in the 2026 season despite significant injuries, with contributions across the roster sustaining their strong start. Cornerback Renardo Green has emerged as a standout, recording three interceptions and allowing no passing touchdowns through five games, while the safety group has exceeded preseason expectations. The defense is generating pressure at a much higher rate than last season despite Nick Bosa being sidelined, and the team hopes he can return soon. Offensively, San Francisco has reduced its reliance on Christian McCaffrey, leaning more on Brock Purdy and the passing game while rookie Kaelon Black helps spell the running back.
