Florida QB Philo Questionable for Texas Game
Florida starting quarterback Aaron Philo is questionable for Saturday’s game at No. 7 Texas after sustaining a shoulder injury against South Carolina and being limited in practice, though he threw Wednesday. Florida’s SEC availability report is expected to clarify his status. If Philo cannot play, sophomore Tramell Jones Jr. would make his first career start; Jones has completed 23 of 29 passes for 252 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions this season. Philo has thrown for 1,341 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions, and committed two turnovers in Florida’s 38-19 loss to South Carolina as the team enters the game after consecutive losses. Running back Duke Clark is expected to miss time with an ankle injury, while wide receiver Vernell Brown III’s status remains uncertain as he works back from a knee injury.
Where do you stand?
