Saints’ Chris Olave Misses Practices With Illness, Game Status Uncertain

Saints wide receiver Chris Olave missed Wednesday and Thursday practices with an illness, leaving his availability for Sunday’s game against the Giants uncertain. Friday is his final chance to practice before the team may need to issue a game designation. Through five games, Olave ranks second in the NFL with 39 catches and 537 receiving yards, despite New Orleans’ 1-4 start. The Saints are short on available receivers, and the Giants have injury concerns of their own, including pass rusher Abdul Carter and starting offensive tackles Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor, who missed practice.
